Worthing Pier
Worthing Pier is an iconic landmark in the Town of Worthing, West Sussex and a famous pleasure pier stretching 291 metres out into the sea. It was first opened to the public in 1862 and remains open to the public. The pier was named Pier of the Year in 2006 and again in 2019. Worthing Borough Council owns Worthing Pier, which is a popular place to walk, visit the amusement arcade, and as a spot to fish from. There is a tearoom and function area, and the Pier is the home of the annual Birdman competition.
View artworks, meet your friends, and promenade over the waves while enjoying an ice cream and relaxing on the deckchairs. Art on the Pier is Worthing unique outdoor gallery and is a free exhibition found on the perspex windows between the amusement arcade and the Southern Pavilion.
