Worthing College Rugby Club
Participate in high-level training, conditioning, analysis and performance. Worthing College runs two squads in the County Cup, Sussex League, NatWest and Severs and Ten competitions. Players have progressed to play for Sussex and divisional rugby while advancing in the classroom and achieving good A-level results.
Over the last five years, 32 players have represented Sussex at Under 18, and 3 have represented England Colleges at under 18 levels. Three Dutch Internationals developed their skills at Worthing College.

Over the last four seasons:
- The Men's Football Programme has reached the last 8 of the England Schools National Cup.
Over the last five seasons:
- Sixty-four players have represented Sussex Schools or FA sides, winning two National Cups.
- Fifteen players have represented England Schools or Colleges playing in Europe.
- Thirteen players have gained scholarships to America.
We have produced two professional players whilst the Academy of Sport has been running (both in England and USA)
The Programme
During training, you'll focus on improving your technical and tactical skills and understanding your role within the team, which is called game intelligence. You'll learn about sports psychology and strength and conditioning training. You'll have access to some of the best facilities in the South of England. Our program includes 9 hours of weekly training sessions, and you'll also have local club games on the weekends.
Competitions
Two squads compete in the ECFA & AoC leagues each week and participate in the following competitions, allowing the maximum player and team development:
- ECFA Category 1 National League
- ESFA National Colleges' Cup
- 1st XI SSFA County Cup
- AoC National Colleges' Cup
- AoC Category 2 Regional League (playing mostly 1st XI's)
- 2nd XI SSFA County Cup.
We video and upload our football games to an app where our students can analyse their performance from the comfort of their own devices and enhance the education of the game.

Italian women's rugby player Sara Sere studied the BTEC in sport at Worthing College from 2017-2018 and participated in the Worthing Women's Rugby Academy.
While at Worthing, Sara also played for Hove Rugby Club for Sussex RFU. In 2021, Sara was selected to represent Italy in the Women's Six Nations.
