Our under 18 students have a 10pm curfew Sunday-Thursday and an 11pm curfew on Friday and Saturday.

As all of our hosts are within commuting distance of their respective colleges, the students will walk, cycle or take the bus to get to college. No need to drive them yourself!

We offer flexible hosting, with students staying from 2 weeks to 2 years.

• In summer, short-stay students join our Chichester summer school, usually for 3 weeks.
• During term time, students may stay a few weeks, one term, one semester, or a full academic year.
• Some students start their A-Levels and stay for the full 2 years.

We listen to your preferences and match students to your availability.

In Chichester:

• Hosts in the PO19 postcode are paid £167 a week
• Hosts outside of that postcode area are paid £152 a week

In Worthing:

• Hosts are paid £167 a week
• Hosts for rugby students who stay 4-5 nights a week are paid £24 per night.
• Hosts are paid in advance on Friday for the following week.

The college accepts homestay applications from students aged 16-60, although the majority are typically between 16 and 18.

We accept students from all across the world. The majority of our students are typically from Europe, South America, or Asia.

Our students are eager to experience the full homestay lifestyle and often enjoy becoming part of the household. To help them feel truly at home, we ask that hosts be happy for students to use shared spaces such as the living room, dining area, kitchen, bathrooms and, of course, their own bedrooms. Creating a warm, inclusive environment helps our students settle in and make the most of their time in England. Of course we also expect our student to respect boundaries and if ever you have any issues you can talk to a member of the CCg Homestay Team.

To ensure our students are safe, there are a few checks we do on you and your home to ensure it is suitable for hosting:

• An up-to-date gas safety certificate.
• A DBS check for anyone 18+ living in the household. These are at a cost of £56 per person and are refunded to you once you get your first student.
• Complete online training around Safeguarding, Prevent and E-Safety.
• Two colleagues or friends to act as references.
• A fire risk assessment.
• A home visit (conducted by the CCG Homestay Host coordinator.

Homestay at CCG is a programme where local people and families open their homes to international and UK students.

They provide a safe, friendly, and supportive living environment for students while they study with us at CCG. In Chichester and Worthing, we welcome international students. Additionally, in Worthing, there is an opportunity to host UK students from the Rugby Academy, who typically stay 4–5 nights each week. Homestay is an opportunity to share your culture, earn extra income, offer a comfortable room, and help students feel at home while they enjoy life in the UK.
