Summer School UK at Chichester College
Every summer, students from around the world join us in Chichester for courses on the South Coast of England, lasting up to eight weeks. Study English and join fun activities and social events. We aim to help students transition into becoming genuinely global citizens while learning English in a fun and supportive environment.

Chichester College's English Language Summer School is set in the historic City of Chichester, within easy reach of local attractions and the nearby scenic South Coast of England. Our Summer School offers all students, regardless of their level of English language proficiency, the opportunity to explore England safely during the UK summer season. We have developed a diverse and exciting programme of activities for all students to enjoy while studying with us.
Our Summer School offers a variety of exciting programmes for students. Whether you want free time to explore with friends, prefer an all-inclusive experience with everything taken care of, or love staying active with lots of fun activities, we have something just for you!
We have two great accommodation choices for you. You can stay in our on-campus halls for a boarding school-style experience, or live with warm and welcoming local hosts. No matter which option you choose, you’ll feel safe, supported, and ready to enjoy every moment of your summer!
Our Aim
We aim to offer a first step to independence. They combine academic enrichment and improved English fluency with the chance to make new friends globally, gain essential pre-university life skills, and provide a deep, fun experience of UK education and culture.
Our Offer
English Summer Courses available at Levels A1-C2*.- Available for students aged 16 or older.
- The minimum stay is two weeks.
- Choose from halls or homestay accommodation options.
- Price per week: from £255 (tuition).
*Please note: Places for students at CEFR levels A1 and C2 depend on demand. Feel free to ask us about availability.
All students need to take a placement test before they arrive. Once we get your application, we’ll send you a link to complete the Oxford online placement test.
New Summer School Programmes for 2026
Our Summer School Programmes offer something for everyone: the Voyager Package gives you English lessons with flexible options, the Explorer Package includes tuition, accommodation, trips and activities at no extra cost, and the Adventurer Package combines English study with exciting activities and Saturday excursions for a complete experience.

- Independent Voyager Programme Weeks 1-5 (21st June - 25th of June): General English 21 hours - Tuition £295 per week plus Accommodation
- Independent Voyager Programme Weeks 6-8 (26th July - 15th August): General English 21 hours - Tuition £255 per week plus Accommodation
- Inclusive Explorer Programme Weeks 1-8 (21st June - 15th August): General English 21 hours per week - £680 per week. Includes Accommodation of choice and Wednesday and Saturday Trips.
- Adventurer Programme Weeks 4-5 (12th July - 25 July): General English 15 hours per week plus exciting afternoon activities - £750 per week. Includes Accommodation of choice, Wednesday and Saturday Trips, plus exciting adrenaline activities on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Afternoons.

- Chi Bake Off: You might have seen the popular TV show 'The Great British Bake Off'. You might not know that Chichester College has a well-respected hospitality training team. If you have a sweet tooth and a healthy appetite, this is your chance to improve your baking skills, which might be helpful if you choose to study and stay with us long-term!
- Football: Experience football in the country where this excellent game first started. Test your skills against international players from our global community.
- Karaoke & Open Mic Night: Own the stage and embrace your inner performer at our karaoke and open mic nights! Dance and sing the night away with your new friends.
- Volleyball: Join us on Thursdays for volleyball; no experience is required! Whatever your fitness level, this is sure to get you sweating.
- Quiz Nights: Team up with your friends for a chance to win prizes at our Quiz Night! From general knowledge to themed film quizzes, gather your friends for an entertaining, fun evening.
- Games & Pizza Night: Join us for the perfect mix of social interaction! Get to know fellow students worldwide whilst playing games and tucking into some tasty pizza.
- Watersports: Want to try paddleboarding or kayaking? Chichester offers a choice of inland waterways and a stunning coastline. You do not need to be experienced in watersports to participate, and our experienced tutors will help you and keep you safe.
Accommodation during our Summer School
- Woodlands Hall: Stay in our halls with full-board accommodation for those aged 16-17.
- Westgate Halls: For those 18 years and older, choose self-catering or half-board, eat in our dining halls, or cook for yourself.
- Homestay: If you want to experience our Summer School whilst staying within the local community, please opt for homestay accommodation.
All our accommodation options are safe, secure, and comfortable. College staff carefully monitor and support on-site accommodation, which is regularly inspected by external bodies to ensure the highest standards.
