Travel Information
Getting around the United Kingdom (often called the UK) is easy enough using public transport. You can use a mix of trains, buses, taxis and walking when making day trips from one of our colleges. For exploring around college, walking and cycling are perhaps best.
Flight arrivals and transit to our Colleges
We can arrange a taxi for you from either Gatwick or Heathrow Airports, frequent trains run from both airports and are a cheaper option.
Heathrow Airport
Heathrow Airport is situated west of London and is a major international airport that sees 80 million passengers pass through its terminals yearly.
Travel from Heathrow to Chichester College
- By Train: 2h 30min (To Chichester Station). The college is a ten-minute walk from the station.
- By Taxi: 1h 26min. We can arrange a taxi for you.
Travel from Heathrow to Worthing College
- By Train: Approx. It is 2h 25 minutes (To Worthing Station). Fares are approximately £39. The college is a 30-minute walk from the station, or you can take a taxi.
- By Taxi: 1h 25min. We can arrange a taxi for you.
Travel from Heathrow to Brighton MET College
- By Train: Approximately 2h (To Brighton Station). Fares are approximately £37. Leave from Heathrow rail station and change at Farrondon. The college is a 10-minute walk from the station.
- By Taxi: 1h 15min. We can arrange a taxi for you.
Gatwick Airport
Gatwick Airport is a major international airport near Crawley, West Sussex and is 30 miles south of Central London. It is the second-busiest airport in the UK after Heathrow Airport. Gatwick is the tenth-busiest airport in Europe.
Travel from Gatwick to Chichester
- By Train: 58min (To Chichester Station). Fares are approximately £17.50. The college is a ten-minute walk from the station

Travel from Gatwick Airport to Worthing College
- By Train: Approx. 50min . Fares are approximately £15 (To Worthing Station). The college is a 30-minute walk from the station, or you can take a taxi.
- By Taxi: Approx. 45min (60 km.). We can arrange a taxi for you.
Travel from Gatwick Airport to Brighton MET College
- By Train: Approx. 30min . Fares are approximately £11 to Brighton Station (BTN). The college is a 10-minute walk from the station, or you can take a taxi.

Arrival by Train (From Europe via Eurostar or From London Airports)
Take the train to London; connections are available to Chichester, Brighton and Worthing. Upon arrival in London, take the underground (Victoria Line) to Victoria Station.
- London to Chichester: Leave from Victoria. Single fare Approx. £39. Journey time 1h 40min
- London to Worthing: Leave from Victoria Station or Blackfriars Station. Single fare Approx. £33. Journey time 1h 25min
- London to Brighton: Leave from St. Pancras International Station and change at Gatwick Airport for the Brighton train. The journey time is approximately 1h. Off-peak fare is £21.50
