COVID-19 Information for Students

We understand that you (and your parents or guardian) will be concerned about the additional risks of COVID-19 when considering studying with the Chichester College Group.

Although the pandemic imposed challenges globally, we managed to deliver classes in a safe and cautious environment throughout 2020 and 2021 (we did resort to online tuition during lockdown periods). Our priority was to keep students always safe during their stay with us. This remains our priority.

We kept our halls open throughout, which saw no outbreak or cases of Covid-19. Our accommodation team worked tremendously hard to ensure students could study and live in halls safely during the pandemic and lockdowns. We are not complacent. We continue to monitor the situation to ensure your stay with us is as safe as possible.

Should a student contract COVID, we will ensure appropriate healthcare and support students with shopping, online activities and additional support. We reserve the right to ask students to isolate until their symptoms have passed.

Refund Policy

In the event of further severe outbreaks, we offer an effortless full-refund policy should you have to cancel your travel arrangements due to the pandemic.

Precautions Against Covid 19

Over the past years, we have implemented several precautions to reduce the risk and possible spread of Covid-19. Some of these precautions have now been relaxed.

They included:

  • Strict enforcement of social distancing.
  • Reduced class sizes.
  • Enhanced cleaning regimes.
  • Enforcement of all students and staff wearing masks (not currently enforced, although we reserve the right to reinstitute this).
  • Temporary closure of our gym and restaurants and postponement of trips and social activities where social distancing posed a problem. All of these are currently running once again.

Some of the above measures have since been reduced (our gyms and restaurants are now open, and social trips are again taking place). However, we may reintroduce these and other measures as we continue to monitor the risk posed by Covid-19 and in line with current Public Health England and UK Government safety guidelines.

Current Status at Our Colleges

All classes currently operate with in-class, face-to-face learning. Our gym, barbers and all college facilities, including trips, have returned to normal. Please check back here for the latest information.

Rules for Traveling to England

The UK government lifted all COVID restrictions for people entering the UK.

When you travel to England, you:

  • do not need to complete a UK passenger locator form before you travel
  • do not need to take any COVID-19 tests before you travel or after you arrive
  • do not need to quarantine when you arrive

This applies whether you are vaccinated or not.

Use of Face Masks

It is not unusual to see students and staff wearing masks, especially when walking in busy corridors. This is a matter of personal choice.
