Meet your Teacher
Gayle Atkins, Course Leader BA (Hons) Fashion
I began my fashion journey with a BA at British Vogue, where I interned and assisted the legendary Isabella Blow, who later launched Alexander McQueen. After completing my MA at Central Saint Martins, I founded a sustainable fashion brand and have since taught globally, leading HE Fashion courses at Marbella Design Academy and Swiss Mode in Montreux.
Today, I collaborate with the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association to bring industry masters—including Savile Row tailors—directly to students.
Most recently, I moderated a talk with Standing Ground, fresh from winning the Louis Vuitton Savoir Faire Prize. My mission is to help students transform raw creativity into real careers. Study with me, and you’ll gain honest guidance on design ethics, sharpen your technical skills, and build a portfolio that truly reflects your vision.
Student Testimonial
Amy Brigden
My perspective on why the course is successful hinges on our assessed work placement in the second year, which has seen students go to Iris Van Herpen in Amsterdam. Jobs are often secured following this unit—also, exposure to industry through internal and external shows.
The UAL accreditation is key, as are our renowned industry speakers and collaboration with innovative fabric suppliers for sustainable design solutions.
